About Jemade Palmer
Property Done Properly.
Led by a Chartered Building Engineer regulated by RICS. Based in Guildford. Working across Surrey and Berkshire.
Why We Started Doing This
A surveyor's job is to tell you what is wrong with a building and what to do about it. Most reports do not do that. They list everything that could possibly be wrong, recommend further investigation on each one, and leave you to work out which findings matter and which do not.
Jemade Palmer was founded to do the job properly. That means showing up on site personally for every inspection, taking the time to understand what the client is actually trying to decide, and being on the phone after the survey to answer questions in plain English.

Example finding from a Level 3 Survey: timber decay in a 1930s loft, not visible from the hatch.
What We Do Differently
We carry out every survey personally
Uzoma carries out every survey personally. No subcontractors, no associates, no junior surveyors. The person who inspected the property is the person who writes the report and the person who calls you to talk it through.
Aerial photography on every inspection
A telescopic pole camera reaches chimneys, roofs, and gutters that a ladder cannot. The photographs go in the report so you can see what was found rather than reading about it.
A phone call before the written report
We telephone you within a day or two of the inspection to discuss what was found, what to act on, and what can wait. The written report follows by email within five working days. The phone call is part of the survey, not an extra.
Who We Work With
We work with people who are about to make a significant decision about a property and want it grounded in evidence rather than guesswork.
Home buyers under chain pressure who need a survey turned around quickly.
Homeowners whose neighbours have just served a party wall notice.
Adjoining owners whose neighbours are planning works that might affect their house.
Architects and commercial clients who need bespoke reports for their own projects.
If you are not sure whether what you need fits, call us. The first conversation is free.

Our Credentials
Being RICS-regulated is the floor, not the ceiling. It means we work to a published code of conduct, carry the right insurance, and answer to a professional body if a client has a complaint. What it does not mean is that every RICS-regulated firm does the work the same way.
Where we differ is in the detail. The phone call before the report. The aerial photography on every survey. The traffic-light report format that orders defects by urgency rather than burying them in a list. The willingness to tell a client we think a property is not worth buying when that is what the evidence says.
